Vesta Fund seeks to improve psychiatric, psychological, and behavioral health care throughout Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

Its directors believe basic healthy functioning requires access to resources and opportunities that best address a host of modern psychological challenges – among them: stress, anxiety, depression, exhaustion, communication difficulties, and more.

Vesta Fund therefore supports community agencies promoting mental and behavioral health, human potential, and general human advancement for the good of individuals, families, and the larger community.

GRANT GUIDELINES

• Priority funding areas include, but are not limited to: psychotherapy, psychiatry and prescription medications, support groups, PTSD recovery, alcoholism and substance abuse treatment, hospital and residential treatment programs, family and relationship counseling, maternity care, fatherhood education, and more.

• Grants may be awarded to support general operations, specific programs, and/or capital projects, in the discretion of Vesta Fund.

• Typical grant awards range from $5,000 to $15,000.

• Grantees must be able to demonstrate that they are recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and as public charities as defined within the Code.

• Grant applications should be submitted online through Vesta Fund's grants management system at:

https://glenmede.smartsimple.com/welcome/vesta. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Grantees can only apply for funding once per given year (i.e., 12 months from the last application, regardless of past funding decisions).

• Grantees must provide direct constituent services within Pennsylvania's Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. Grantees with headquarters or administrative offices located elsewhere may still apply, so long as their services are provided directly to constituents within these three area counties.

• Grant awards are competitive and not all grant requests become funded.

Directors of the Vesta Fund generally meet quarterly to review proposals and make awards.  Meetings typically occur on or around March 15th, June 15th, September 15th, and December 15th — but these dates are flexible.
